Winter in Alabama: A Study in Contrast

Sunday, Feb. 21 was a gorgeous day in North Alabama. Temperatures soared into the low 70s allowing for an afternoon of outdoor play under sunny, clear-blue skies.

This coat-free play day proved sharp contrast to my outdoor playtime just two weeks earlier, as evidenced here in photos from Monday, Feb. 8, when the temp didn't rise above 30 all day.

Oh, well...whatever the weather, I'm pretty much skilled at finding fun ways to pass the time.
Hope all is well with you and yours!
Love, Nash

"We said 'Merry Christmas!'"

That (above) was Nash's "solo" in the preschool Christmas program. The group ended their songfest by saying in unison, "Merry Christmas." Then, as Bro. Joe Teal headed to the microphone for the closing comments, Nash said, loud and clear,
"We said Merry Christmas!"

And now we present...

The sweet & endearing musical stylings of the Nashman and his ever-so-cute-and-precious Choirmates!

With special thanks to Mrs. Kelly, Miss Leah, Mr. Ross and the other wonderful helper in Choir-3 whose name I have never thought to ask!

A snowy day

We don't have much snow around here. Sometimes whole winters go by with no snow at all and even when we do get some, it's usually just a dusting (like this one). It was a treat to wake up to it this early in the season. Nash gasped with delight when he looked out the window first thing this morning and could hardly wait until the sun fully rose to get out there and slush around a bit. Not enough for a snowman, so he was a little bummed about that but all in all, he's been excited all morning.
At one point he scooped up a handful of snow and said "Hey, this looks like Santa beard!"

Music & Tall Tales

Nash attends Children's Choir each Wednesday evening. The first two photos here are from a little show they did for parents on Oct. 14.

These next two are from a trip to the local fire station he took with his preschool class on Oct. 16.

The fireman had just asked the kids how old they were. As you can see, Nash is holding up all five fingers. He actually said, "I'm five!" (You guys know he's really only 3, right?)
